Disk harrows from the technology leader
French family-owned company RAZOL is the European leader in the area of disk harrows. For the new high-performance disk harrow, they were looking for a high-performance sealing solution for the drive unit. After all, the unit is crucial for function and performance of the disk harrow.

High requirements for sealing
The requirements profile to the seal was highly complex: It had to be very low-maintenance, resist high rotation speeds of the shaft and reliably seal against contamination. RAZOL contacted Simrit based on the technology partnership of more than a decade.

Quick, robust and low-maintenance
After comprehensive field tests, the ideal component for the application was found: The Simrit cassette sealing ring type 3 made of NBR (acryl-nitrile-butadiene rubber). This cassette sealing ring protects the ball bearing of the drive shaft reliably from contamination from the outside, as well as from contamination from the inside, e.g. by metal particles. The sealing ring can resist even shaft speeds of 1250 rpm. Another great benefit: After initial lubrication of the seal, relubrication is not required at all during the service life. This way, the cassette seal accurately meets all criteria of the agricultural machine manufacturer.
